Covid-19 Activities
Society For Community Rehabilitation (SCR)Relief:
During the COVID-19 lockdown period, some indigent personnel have been without income. They were struggling to find enough food to eat. We have been providing dry food kits to the 100 needy families, free distribution of 10 thousand Masks to the tribal SHG women by our SCR. Covid awareness and sensitization program to tribal women as well as oath regarding five tips “HOW TO PREVENT FROM CORONAVIRUS” (1) like hand washing practice; (2) maintaining social distance; (3) use of mask; (4) not spit in a public place; (5) advised drinking hot water, and eat nutritious food.
Mask Distribution and Awareness:
Wearing masks is very very important while going out from home, it is the only way to be safe. Masks are available in the shops now, though we have started a campaign to make people care more about the importance of wearing masks. Our members are also making masks from cotton pieces that are comfortable this summer and also come with three layers which are helpful to prevent the virus. From our end, we distribute these masks among the children and their parents in the nearby colony.
Covid-19 Awareness:
COVID 19 or Coronavirus is a deadly virus that has a strong power to kill people in a short span all over the world. There are lots of rumors going on due to the dos and don’ts which make people confused. We started an awareness program on COVID 19 to make people understand the seriousness of staying home and using masks, hand sanitizers, or soaps. There is a helpline number from our end activated in the area to make people more relaxed.
Awareness of Sanitation:
Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 or Coronavirus all over the world, it is very important to stay clean and sanitized every time. A circular has been published by WHO that washing hands and keeping the environment clean is very essential as only this habit can save us from getting affected by COVID 19. As people of rural areas are not fully aware of sanitization, we arrange an awareness program on the uses of sanitization and how to use sanitizers.
Covid-19 Vaccination Program:
The vaccine to prevent the deadly effect of Coronavirus is found and it is circulated by the Government to take vaccines. Children, Old Aged people are the top priority on this list. But it needs to be done properly and all the names must be included in a Government portal. From SCR NGO, we have started to provide vaccines to local people and all the processes are followed by Government rules.
